I am a genuine oatmeal cookie monster... I just counted, as well as January 2018, I've shared 47 oatmeal cookie recipes with you. Eep! Have you ever tried any of them yet? (? You can locate all of my oatmeal cookie recipes right there!) They're a few of the most popular recipes in my website because they taste very sweet and comfy, just like conventional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they contain no refined sugar or bread!

That means you are going to start with whole wheat germ (or fermented, if you want ) and prompt oats (such as these... or those for a gluten-free edition!) . Instant oats are thinner and smaller than traditional rolled oats, also you may locate them at canisters right alongside those traditional oats at the grocery shop.

I probably sound like a broken record by now... But because I ? you and also want your cookies to turn out totally soft and chewy, I am reminding you again... Measure your yogurt and bread correctly, applying this technique or a kitchen scale! (? That's the one I own and enjoy. Too much of either side is likely to make your cookies taste cakey or sterile, rather than chewy. This is especially true of the oats--they act like little sponges and soak up lots of moisture from the cookie dough!

Ripe bananas- perfect for baking! Love all @amybakeshealthy's yummy & healthy banana recipes!

Watch those bananas? And all of those brown stains? When it comes to baking with bananas, brown = beautiful! I ? extra speckly bananas cause they've a lot bright, bold taste --and additional sweetness! That is the minimum amount of brown which I recommend. More is better!

The remaining part of the cookie dough's sweetness comes from another organic ingredient... Pure maple syrup (such as that!) . You would like the type that comes straight from maple trees, which is generally sold in thin glass bottles or squat, round plastic jugs. Skip the pancake sugar and sugar-free syrup!

The peppers include even more sweetness! The recently purchased, additional plump, perfectly delicate ones are perfect... But if you have older, somewhat dried out carbohydrates (hmm... it sounds silly to explain dried fruit as dried out! ) , that's okay!

Simply add them into a microwave-safe bowland pour water on top till they're totally coated. Seal plastic wrap across the top, and microwave the bowl on high for 1 second. Should you let the peppers sit while mixing together the cookie dough, this small hint hydrates them so they're incredibly juicy--and that makes a major difference in these cookies once they're baked!

Yields: 15 biscuits

The familiar comfy spices and plump raisins make them even more irresistible. They will keep for at least one week if stored in an airtight container in the fridge --if they last that long!

1 cup (100g) instant oats (fermented if required and measured like that )

3/4 cup (90g) whole wheat or fermented * flour (quantified like that )

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup (120mL) pure maple syrup

1/4 cup (40g) raisins

In a medium bowlwhisk together the yogurt, milk, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the butter or coconut oil, mashed banana, and vanilla. Stir in the maple syrup. Add in the flour mixture, stirring just until incorporated. Fold in the raisins.

Preheat the oven to 325°F, along with a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.

Using a spoon their website and spatula, dip the cookie dough into 15 curved scoops onto the prepared sheet, and flatten to the desired depth and width using Healthy Oatmeal Cookies - Martha Stewart a spatula. Bake at 325°F for about 10-12 minutes.

Notes: It's extremely important to measure both the wheat and oats properly using this technique or a kitchen scale. (? That is exactly the one I own and love!) Too much of either will dry from the cookies and leave them cakey instead of chewy.

Immediate oats are also referred to as quick-cooking or minute oats. They are available in massive canisters, just like conservative oats. They are not the ones at the tiny flavored loaf of bread. To create your own, add the same amount of conservative yogurt into a food processor, and pulse 10-12 times or until the oats will be about 1/4 to ? of their original size.

For the gluten-free flour, I recommend the following mix: 1/2 cup (60g) millet flour, two tablespoons (15g) tapioca flour, two tbsp (15g) brown rice bran, and 1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum. Most store-bought fermented flour blends (like that one!) Will also do the job, if quantified like this.

For the best results, use the ripest and spottiest bananas you'll be able to find!

If your raisins are elderly, drier, and not so plump or juicy... Add them to a microwave-safe bowland pour water at the top till they're totally coated. Seal plastic wrap over the surface, and then microwave the bowl on high for 1 second. Should you let the peppers sit while mixing together the cookie dough, then this small hint hydrates them they're really tender and succulent!
